This one-day short course is intended for people, such as engineers or purchasing managers, that are involved with planning or implementing a preservation program for thermal power plants. Both combined cycle and conventional fired boiler plant types are treated.
All the available preservation methods are reviewed, with a goal of providing insight into their relative advantages and disadvantages. Although the focus is on major capital equipment items such as boilers and turbines, other supporting plant infrastructure is also covered. The course’s objective is to give attendees essential guidance for identifying the best approach for preserving their plant equipment.
The course draws on the extensive experience accumulated by Tetra Engineering staff over the past 30 years providing consulting and engineering services to thermal power plants throughout the world. This experience also encompasses developing preservation programs and assisting in their implementation at various plant locations in the Middle East, Europe and the USA.
