Tetra Engineering is a small company working in the power generation sector. We specialise in providing engineering and technical support to owners and operators of CCGT power plants, as well as other thermal plants. We have an office near Nice in France and our headquarters is in Connecticut, USA. We support projects worldwide and this includes hands-on fieldwork and back office engineering analysis.
We will be providing a remunerated student industrial placement starting between July and August 2020 for an 8-12 month duration. This will be a very good opportunity for the student to apply the theory learnt in the first few years of study to real world engineering problems. In addition, they would do this in a young, international atmosphere with the opportunity for fieldwork and foreign travel.

The placement would suit a mechanical engineering student who is able to fit into a small team of engineering consultants. They will live and work in the South of France and will travel for short periods to other countries. They must therefore be a European citizen or have a European work permit and must speak fluent English. They should have good all-round engineering skills with emphasis on the following:
In addition, a good knowledge of Microsoft Excel is desirable. Knowledge of a CAD package would also be of interest. Primary tools used at Tetra include Solidworks (CAD and Simulation) and MS Excel.
